Installing ubuntu.

1. Installing Ubuntu is very easy. Just download ubuntu from here.

2. Burn it to a blamk CD by using Raxio CD creator or other like nero.

3. Run CD from Computer then a new dialog box will open as below:-

4. Select inside windows then next dialog box open.

5. Answer the options. I recommend you to choose drive in which windows is not installed. Clisk install.

Now it will start installing. It will take 15-20 minutes. After installation finish reboot your computer.

Now you will see option of windows and ubuntu on your screen when computer starts. Chosse ubuntu by using arrow keys then booting ubuntu starts.

If you dont like ubuntu then you can remove it from add/remove programs in windows control panel.

Most of the people use windows operating system in their pc. When we advice them to install any linux then they ask what is in linux? Why we use it?

Here are some points that all should linux.

Linux has long been praised for its stability–Linux boxes are known for running months or even years at a time without crashing, freezing, or having to be rebooted. Linux is extremely secure compared to other OS. Viruses and Trojan Horse programs are practically non-existent. Linux servers practically run the World Wide Web, so one cannot argue that there are so few malicious programs for Linux because it represents an insignificant number of target machines.

As compared to other OS linux is extremely fast. because the operating system is very efficient at managing resources such as memory, CPU power, and disk space. NASA, Sandia, Fermilabs and many others have built very powerful.

Networking comes naturally to Linux. Probably all networking protocols in use on the Internet are native to UNIX and/or Linux, so one can expect that UNIX and Linux would network better than any other platforms. Setting up a network on a Linux machine is surprisingly simple, because Linux handles most of the work.

Most of web servers are running on linux because linux is more secure than others.It can not be hacked easily.

You can do all the things that on windows, you can play games and even more.
